Protected Tree Pruning

Protected Tree Pruning

Is my tree protected? (Maybe! We can help you find out!)

Can I prune my own protected tree? (Nope!)

How do I get a tree permit if it is? (We’ll handle it!)

Does pruning protected trees cost a lot more? (Nope!)

These are super common questions we get from our clients!

Did you know many trees need permits to be pruned? Trees are an irreplaceable resource to every community. In efforts to protect that resource, many cities, counties, and communities will enact a tree ordinance – a set of laws created by a team of arborists and officials to regulate work done on trees to safe keep the tree’s health.

Not all tree work is equal, and communities require permitting before tree work is done on protected trees to ensure the only work done on them is by licensed and insured ISA Certified Arborists, and is in the best interest of the tree.

We’re a full service tree care company, which means for us – we’ll handle every aspect of the work that needs to be done, from start to finish. This includes all permitting work! Permits can often have a lot of information needed – arboricultural measurements, a true description of the work being performed, contractor’s licensing, photographs, sketches, and ISA Certified Arborist information. Over your head? Don’t stress about it! Our team handles every step of the way. We’ll work out which – if any- of your trees need a permit, manage the paperwork, and work with the arborists at the city or county to ensure the work is approved and good to go when our crews arrive!

Getting work done on protected trees is stress free for our clients – yup, you won’t have to worry about a thing!
